25th August 2025 – Sabah Agro-Industrial Park (SAIP) received two new applications for leasing available greenhouse facilities. The first application was submitted by Callabio Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, an existing tenant at SAIP. The company is seeking additional space to cultivate herbs to support the growing production needs of its herbal processing facility.
The second application came from a new potential tenant, Teraju Juta Sdn Bhd, which intends to cultivate bird’s eye chilies using the fertigation method, a modern and highly efficient agricultural technique.
In line with SAIP’s recently introduced procedures aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in the tenant selection process, both applicants were invited to attend an interview session.The interview panel comprised representatives from SEDCOVEST Holdings Sdn Bhd, represented by Puan Dg Hanizah, Manager of Property Management; from SEDCO, represented by Encik Arfie Izzuan, Project Management and Procurement Officer; and from SAIP Sdn Bhd, represented by Puan Mariyam, Deputy General Manager, and Encik Nur Redzuan, Accounts Manager.
The session was conducted to evaluate each applicant’s business viability, alignment with SAIP’s objectives, technical capabilities, potential contribution to the agro-industrial ecosystem, and ability to meet lease obligations. The outcome of the interviews will be reviewed by SAIP’s management for final deliberation and approval.
