8th August 2025 – Syarikat Botanicals Sabah Sdn. Bhd., led by its Chief Executive Officer, Yang Berusaha Dr. Julius Kulip, conducted an official visit to the Sabah Agro-Industrial Park (SAIP) and one of its prominent tenants, Callabio Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd.
The delegation comprised a group of dedicated herb farmers from Penampang, cultivating a range of local herbs including tuhau, pegaga, bidara, and various other medicinal and culinary plants. These farmers manage their own farms independently and are now embarking on the next phase of their journey – transforming their cultivated herbs into commercial products.
During the visit, the group was welcomed by SAIP General Manager, Tuan Annef Osyairi Osman, who delivered a comprehensive briefing on the available infrastructure, facilities, and support services offered by SAIP for research, development, and the commercialization of herbal-based products.
Following the briefing, the entourage toured Callabio Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. to explore potential collaboration opportunities. As a result of the visit, Syarikat Botanicals Sabah Sdn. Bhd. successfully secured a herbal supply agreement with Callabio, covering a wide variety of locally grown herbs. The agreement will be carried out through contract farming arrangements, where the participating farmers will supply their herbs directly to Callabio for further processing and product development.
